The Department of Human Services offers their services at Frontyard and is staffed by Community Engagement Officers. These officers can help with accessing information and government and community services for people with complex needs. They can also assist in managing income and navigating Centrelink’s processes.
The Department of Human Services is available at Frontyard on Mondays and Thursdays from 1pm to 4pm.
Finding a private rental can be incredibly tough for young people without a rental history and adequate income. We want to make this process easier to successfully break the cycle of homelessness and restore sustainable living conditions. Our team can provide assistance to young people in the process of securing a rental property by offering advice, information and assisting with financial support options.
Through Creating Connections Living Skills we can provide training throughout Melbourne’s north and west. The training is specifically designed to prepare young people for independent living and is suited for people aged 16 to 24.
