Being the voice of change

According to the latest Census (2021), around 16,902 young Victorians don’t have a place to call their own on any given night. It’s clear that things need to change. In addition to supporting young people around the clock, we strive to be advocates for change.

We work with partners in the sector and in the community to provide education to the public. We advocate for more Commonwealth funding and work to change policies and societal factors that push people into homelessness.

We take to the streets

In addition to providing a full suite of support services in one central space, our mobile workforce takes to the streets. The Frontyard Assertive Outreach program aims to engage hard-to-reach groups of young people in their own environment.

The program recognises the barriers that many young people who have experienced trauma may face when accessing services. Through purposeful, proactive, and persistent engagement, we provide support and interventions to young people in spaces where they are most comfortable.

If you would like more information about this program or would like to get in touch with an outreach worker, please contact the Team Leader on (03) 9977 0077.
