Adult and Family Homelessness Services (Western Melbourne)

MCM provides support to adults and families experiencing homelessness in the western region of Melbourne. Our services include case management and outreach support to help people access secure short-, medium- and long-term accommodation.

We offer information, advice, and advocacy on a range of homelessness-related issues, including:

Private rental searches
Referrals to specialist support services
Assistance with public housing applications
Support to complete Office of Housing Bond Loan applications

Through our Adult and Family Homelessness Services (AFHS), we support individuals and families to access stable, appropriate short, medium and long-term housing and work towards greater independence.

MCM provides medium- and long-term support to:

Single adults aged 18 years and over
Families aged 18 years and over
People currently living in, or wishing to reside in, the western region of Melbourne

Each person receives personalised support through case management and dedicated Support Workers.
Support Workers can refer clients to specialist services, including:

Family violence support
Drug and alcohol services
Mental health support
Financial counselling
Legal assistance
CALD services
LGBTQIA+ services
First Nations services
Parenting support services
General health services

For accommodation options, we provide information and guidance on:

Private rental housing
Shared accommodation
Office of Housing shared accommodation
Community housing
Rooming houses

Eligibility and Referral Process

Please note that MCM can only accept referrals through an official access point, in the West these are Unison and Salvation Army, Anyone seeking support must present in person or contact one of the access points listed below.
