COVID-19 has had an immeasurable impact on our daily lives, and isolation is incredibly difficult for young people and families experiencing homelessness.

MCM welcomes the intention of the Early Childhood package announced by the Commonwealth Government last week, with its focus on sustaining childcare centres during the COVID-19 pandemic and providing families with free childcare, it hasn’t adequately considered the impact on diverse not-for-profits like MCM for whom childcare is only one component of the community services it provides.
Wednesday 15 April marks the day we observe Youth Homelessness Matters Day (YHMD) which aims to raise awareness of young people in Australia experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
