Ryn's story

When family violence and mental ill-health affected Ryn, MCM’s Frontyard program helped him find safety.

Safety changed everything for Ryn.

Ryn experienced family violence growing up. It left him with experiences of mental ill-health and led to him becoming homeless in his teens.

“It was so rough, having nowhere safe to sleep at night. The emotional stress, the fear and anxiety all built up in me.”

When Ryn connected with MCM, everything began to change for the better. Through MCM’s Frontyard program, he was able to find a safe place to stay and people who could support him.

Ryn got back into education, got a job. He now has hobbies and is enjoying life.
