MCM Group Board appoints Paul Wappett as interim CEO

The MCM Group Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Wappett as interim CEO.

Paul brings extensive leadership experience, having served as CEO of:

• Open Universities Australia (2011–2018)
• Australian Institute of Business (2018–2021)
• Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (2021–2024)

Alongside his professional achievements, Paul has demonstrated a deep commitment to supporting marginalised communities. He spent a decade on the Berry Street Board, including seven years as Chair, and is currently Chair of Phoenix Australia, the national centre of excellence in posttraumatic mental health.

We again acknowledge the leadership of former MCM Group CEO, Vicki Sutton, who guided MCM with vision and dedication over the past nine years. We remain grateful for her contribution and wish her every success in the future.

We also thank Acting CEO Sean Spencer for his commitment and guidance during this transition.
