Company Secretary

Summary

  • This is an 18 months full-time-maximum term contract, with a review to extend

Working closely with the CEO and Board Chairs, you will:

  • Ensure compliance with the Corporations Act, ACNC, ASIC and other regulators
  • Manage board and committee processes, including agendas, minutes, registers and annual calendars
  • Oversee statutory reporting and regulatory lodgements
  • Support effective board operations and director induction
  • Supervise a part‑time Executive Assistant/Board Administrator

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Company Secretary to provide high‑quality governance advice and board secretariat support across a complex multi‑entity group with several Boards and Committees.

About you

  • Formal qualifications in law and/or company secretarial practice
  • 3+ years’ experience in company secretarial or senior governance roles
  • Strong knowledge of not‑for‑profit governance and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent judgement, communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

Screening Criteria:

  • National Police check
  • Working with Children check and NDIS Worker Screening check or ability to obtain
  • Valid Victorian Drivers license
  • Right to Work in Australia
