About the Opportunity

The ICT Systems Engineer is a senior technical specialist within MCM’s Service Desk & Infrastructure team, responsible for delivering expert support, system design, and continuous improvement across the organisation’s hybrid ICT environment. The role provides advanced engineering capability, leads infrastructure projects, and ensures the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems. Operating with significant autonomy, this position plays a key role in strengthening MCM’s technology environment and supporting organisational goals.

About you

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Provide advanced second‑ and third‑level support across complex enterprise systems
  • Design, implement, and optimise hybrid infrastructure solutions across Azure, Microsoft 365, and on‑premises environments
  • Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects with minimal supervision
  • Apply strong knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as Essential Eight and NIST/ISO
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and mentor junior team members

Essential:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
  • Advanced expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Active Directory.
  • Ability to design, implement, and support hybrid infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of security and compliance frameworks including Essential 8 and NIST/ISO.
  • Proven ability to lead or deliver complex ICT projects under general direction.
  • High-level problem-solving and analytical skills, with demonstrated autonomy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Screening Criteria:

  • National Police check
  • Working with Children check and NDIS Worker Screening check or ability to obtain
  • Valid Victorian Driver's license
  • Right to Work in Australia
