The Living Learning Psychologist (CITY) works closely with the LL team to provide a wide range of supports young people experiencing mental health conditions and dis-engagement from education, with a focus on the Western Metropolitan area. The role forms part of a multi-disciplinary allied health team, including Psychologists, Occupational Therapists and various consultant providers. The Psychologist works with students who are experiencing mental health conditions to develop and undertake mental health improvement plans, and secondary consultation with a range of stakeholders. This role is performed both in the school setting at Hester Hornbrook Academy and in various off campus environments, including in the community, hospitals, and in student’s homes.
