FRMP Practitioner Register

Join the FRMP Practitioner Register

The Family Reconciliation and Mediation Program (FRMP) provides brokerage funding which enables young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to access a range of therapeutic interventions. These interventions support young people on their journey towards:

  • stay or return home, if safe and appropriate
  • connect/reconnect with family, significant others or community,
  • recover from recent family conflict and breakdown
  • build on their capacity to create ‘families of choice’

Interventions are provided by suitably qualified private practitioners who are listed on the state-wide FRMP Private Practitioner Register.

We are seeking Expressions of Interest from the following practitioners to join our register:

  • Animal Assisted Therapists
  • Art and Music Therapists
  • Counsellors
  • Dance and Movement Therapists
  • Family Therapists
  • Family Mediators
  • Mental Health Social Workers
  • Mental Health Nurses
  • Occupational Therapists
  • Psychologists
  • Psychotherapists

Requirements to join the Private Practitioner Register

To be included in the FRMP Private Practitioner Register, private practitioners are required to provide a current CV as well as proof of the following:

  • Relevant qualification (see list above)
  • Proof of registration with the relevant professional board or association (listed below)
  • Current Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Current Police Check (completed no more than three months prior to application date)
  • Current Working with Children Check or Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration and commitment to working within a child safe environment 
  • Relevant work experience (At least 2 years’ experience working with young people with multiple and complex needs)
