COVID-19 (Coronavirus) updates

As the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic continues, we remain committed now more than ever to provide essential services to Victorians that need vital support as community transmission of the virus continues.  

As one of Victoria’s leading community service organisations, we are doing everything we possibly can in the safest way possible to work alongside our most at-risk clients in our disability, homelessness, palliative care, residential care and family services programs, to provide support based on the latest government directives and for the safety of the Victorian community.

Our COVID-19 response plans are reviewed regularly and adapted following the latest advice from the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services to reduce the risk of clients and staff contracting and spreading the virus.

Some measures we’re already undertaking include:

  • Reinforcing hand hygiene protocols
  • Strict cleaning measures of shared spaces and surfaces have been in place and continue
  • Changes or cancellation of non-essential physical meetings, excursions and events
  • Reducing personal contact in the delivery of some of our services to comply with the latest government health recommendations such as the use of online video conferencing
  • Staff training on the proper use of personal protective equipment and facemasks
  • Advising staff to follow all the Victorian government directives and recommendations outside of work and to download the COVIDSafe app
  • Supporting staff to get tested if they are experiencing mild symptoms and introduced a special leave policy that ensures all employees, including casuals, can access to weeks paid leave for COVID-19 related absence
