In this newly created role, you’ll be at the forefront of bringing our Safety & Wellbeing Strategy to life. You’ll use your WHS expertise to drive meaningful improvements, tackle complex challenges, and shape practical solutions that make a real difference. You’ll also lead and develop a small team, and partner closely with our people across the organisation to strengthen and champion our safety culture.
We are looking for someone who is both skilled and energised to deliver across the following areas:
Safety Management System and Governance: You’ll enhance strategies, strengthen compliance and improve policies and procedures and continuous improvement. You’ll set the workplan and cyclic calendar for the safety function, supporting and coaching the coordinators to deliver key WHS programs including training, communications, early intervention, compliance activities and audits, ensuring the system runs smoothly and improves with the organisation.
WHS Risk Management, Incident Response and Reporting: You’ll oversee the organisation‑wide WHS risk framework by continually looking to improve the organisation’s response to key WHS risks, leading incident investigations and critical incident responses, ensuring robust audit processes, and maintaining compliance through accurate reporting, metrics and regulatory notifications. You’ll also guide workers compensation and return‑to‑work processes, embed effective use of safety systems, analyse safety trends, and partner closely with operational and HR teams to strengthen safety outcomes across all services.
Leadership and Culture: You’ll lead organisation‑wide WHS engagement by driving change management and communications, consulting with leaders to strengthen safety culture, and facilitating working groups and presentations that promote safe practices. You’ll also build strong cross‑functional relationships, develop and support your WHS team, and stay connected to our services through regular site visits to maintain a practical understanding of the operating environment.

Minimum 5 years’ experience leading WHS in environments with high‑risk factors such as occupational violence, isolated work, vicarious trauma and high job demands.
