About the Opportunity

As a Therapeutic Practitioner, you will deliver high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic interventions to young people (aged 18-26 years old) engaged with the program. Working as part of a multi- disciplinary team, you will provide assessment, safety planning, case consultation and individual therapeutic support aimed at enhancing wellbeing, resilience and recovery. This role plays a key part in supporting young people to achieve their goals and improve outcomes across emotional, behavioural and social domains.

About you

We are looking for someone who can:

  • Provide trauma-informed, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to young people.
  • Demonstrate experience conducting psychosocial assessments, safety planning and developing therapeutic treatment plans.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with young people, families, carers and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records, write high-quality reports and contribute to service planning and evaluation.

Essential:

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Counselling or related discipline
  • Membership with the relevant discipline specific professional association
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with clients with complex mental health and support needs.

Desirable:

  • Bring experience in mental health, youth work or related therapeutic practice.

Screening Criteria:

  • National Police check
  • Working with Children check and NDIS Worker Screening check or ability to obtain
  • Valid Victorian Driver's license
  • Right to Work in Australia
