About the role

The Senior Program Facilitator – Employment and Housing (is part of the MCM Justice Leadership Team based at Ravenhall Correctional Centre, a male prison which has operated since November 2017. MCM provide vital programs to men who are working towards meaningful reintegration back into the community.  RCC is based on the Good Lives Model, whichhas an ethical basis in human rights, and recognises that the best way toreduce re-offending is to support and enhance the capabilities and well-beingof men in prison.  In this role, you willbe a part of a multi-disciplinary team of experienced professionals working towards a common goal of providing programs and services that will help men improve their lives and their community. 

Reporting to the Business Manager Ravenhall, the purpose of this role is to lead and develop the MCM Employment and Housing programs delivering pre-and post-release services to men at RCC. 

These programs aim to provide resources and information to support to men leaving prison, assisting them to;

  • Improve their employability skills and identifying employment.
  • Assist in supporting men with current and post release housing needs.

The role is responsible for the day to day supervision of a small team of housing and employment specialist and to assist in the design and facilitation of group sessions. In addition, the role is expected to play an active role in the Leadership Team supporting high levels of performance at Ravenhall.
