We have an exciting opportunity to deliver programs and services in the men's prison, Ravenhall Correctional Centre (RCC), which opened in late 2017 in Melbourne’s west. The medium security facility has a 1,600-bed capacity. The prison houses both sentenced and remanded prisoners with a 75-bed forensic mental health inpatient beds together with outpatient services. The prison also provides specialist programs to younger prisoners with complex needs and indigenous prisoners. This is an innovative model with a focus on rehabilitation and reintegration. The programs MCM delivers are integral to achieving this aim.
The MCM programs include employment and education, family services, parenting and life skills programs as well as pre and post release case management support.
The Emerge Pre and Post Release case management program provides 6 weeks pre-release and up to 6 months post release case management support to men exiting Ravenhall CC. The position will be located at both Ravenhall and MCM Fitzroy.
