We have several casual vacancies in our Supported Independent Living and Out of Home Care programs which provides support to people with a variety of needs to both children and adults, including intellectual disability, autism, dual disabilities, behaviours of concern and physical disabilities. We are dedicated to providing positive outcomes for people with disabilities empowering them to achieve their goals to make a difference to their lives.

About you:

  • Ideally, you have previous experience supporting people with disabilities (not essential)
  • Skilled at empowering and teaching others (rather than ‘doing’ for them)
  • Have the emotional intelligence to deal sensitively with others, and able to de-escalate heightened emotions or situations
  • Trustworthy, ethically minded, and acts in the best interests of the people you support
  • Resilient and not shy of working hands-on with others
  • Strong communicator, both verbal and written
  • First aid qualified
  • Solid understanding of safety of self, clients and colleagues
